DAY 14: Fish "COVID-19 Yoga Together Challenge"
COVID-19 Yoga Together Challenge
#covid19yogatogether
.
DAY 14 :
Fish Pose (Matsyasana)
.
Named after Matsya - the reincarnation of the Hindu God Vishnu.
The story goes ~ a big flood was on it's way and Earth and everything on it was in danger. Vishnu, who is the protector of the universe, needed to look after the great sages of the time. So history and the world would not lose their wisdom. So, he became a fish named Matsya and carried out his duty to the world.
Practicing Fish Pose can give you, like Matsya, a deep focus and sense of grounding amongst the most unsteady of times. At the same time this posture opens your heart - making you feel lighter - and strengthens your throat - making communication more fluid.
.
You don't wanna miss out on this one.
