DAY 7 :
Virabhadrasana (Warrior III)
.
... And the story continues : And that is exactly what Virabhadra did!! The host and every last guest perished. Shiva went to see the aftermath. All his anger disappeared at the sight of all of the dead guests, and Shakti’s father, Daksha. So Shiva in an act of great compassion brought all of the guests back to life, even Daksha (who he put the head if a goat🐐 on, as his head had been cut by Virabhadra!!)... With his wife still gone, Shiva then retreated deep into the mountains to become a hermit and practice... (There is more to this story, but we’ll stop here😉...) In this story Daksha is ego, and Virabhadra cuts the ego with compassionate love, which is a symbol of the strength we get when we do virabhrasana. This is a warrior of love that turns its sword to the mind/ego, not towards other people 🥰
