Meditation Retreat [Part II] - by Talia
Yeongdeok Dawn Meditation Center, South Korea
We drove up besides a beach and headed over the opposite way: to the woods.
We shared some delicious iced americanos and lattes (thank you 은상쌤!) and swept clean the 평상 "pyeong sang": literal translation is "a flat table" and is a low wooden platform that is used as a resting bench for meal eating, playing board games and the occasional cheeky nap.
In our bright themed yoga clothes, we stepped up onto the pyeong sang and laid our mats.
Here, I was caught by the moment - the chirping of the birds, the fresh scent of pine cones and the vibration of us creating this together.
