Yoga and the Corona Virus














Right now the COVID-19 is a hot topic. People around the whole world are talking. Especially here in Daegu I hear people talking about their concern. We can take action to take care of ourselves and prevent the further spread of this virus. I’m including some good measures you can take to keep a health body and mind throughout the next couple of posts.

Yoga is one of the best way to strengthen your immune system. Yoga postures, breathing, and a conscious lifestyle will improve your over-all health.

The body temperature should be between 36.5~37 degrees for the immune system to function well. By practicing yoga, we improve our circulation which heats our bodies and the bacteria, viruses and waste that has come into our bodies can be removed more efficiently.

🔹Most important~
Through yoga practice, we keep composure of mind.
The traditional text, The Yoga Sutra, says :
“Yoga is cessation of the functions of the mind.”
By watching our thoughts, not following them, composure of mind comes.
As this is a practice that we can do every moment (sometimes better than others) we can use good hygiene habits, diet, yoga postures, and breathing to help.

The best way to practice yoga is with a teacher. As the COVID-19 situation calms more and more, come by the studio and practice in a clean and comfortable space.
